Arginine - The side effect in building a lean strong

In today's day and age, we have become very cautious about what we put into our bodies. This is especially true for bodybuilders. In fact, nothing goes into a serious bodybuilder's body unless it has been weighed, measured, analyzed, and seriously considered. Some bodybuilders even take it to the extreme and become obsessed by what is and is not going into their bodies - and with good reason. Take, for instance, the Arginine effect side.

While Arginine has been proven to have mass benefits for bodybuilders and non-bodybuilders alike, there are potential side effects that must be considered. Most side effects, however, come about due to a health condition that already exists - prior to using supplements that contain Arginine L.

For example, if you have Asthma, you can still take Arginine, but you must take it by injection. Those with Asthma who ingest or inhale this supplement have found that the amino acid actually causes more inflammation in the lungs, and can bring on an asthma attack.

Even though Arginine occurs naturally in the body, some people who are injected with this amino acid experience allergic reactions, known as Anaphylaxis. The reaction may include shortness of breath, as well as a rash and itching at the sight of the injection. What you can conclude from this is that if you have Asthma, and you experience Anaphylaxis after being injected with Arginine, then it is not a good supplement for you...not because it is bad, but because you cannot get it into your body safely.

Some people experience minimal - non-serious side effects with the use of Arginine supplements. These symptoms may include stomach upset or discomfort, stomach cramping, nausea, lower back pain, headache, restless legs, numbness and flushing. This is rare, but it does happen occasionally. In most cases, it is just a side effect which subsides quickly, and will not prevent you from using these supplements.

There can, however, be serious side effects of Arginine. Again, most of these relate to other pre-existing health conditions. It may cause low blood pressure, low sodium, high blood urea nitrogen, high levels of creatinine, high chloride, an increased risk of bleeding, increased blood sugar levels, and increased potassium levels.

Note that this doesn't happen to all or even most people, and experiencing side effects of this supplement is rare. Most healthy people have no side effect at all, and can handle it quite well, whether it is injected, ingested, or inhaled. It does, after all, occur in the body naturally. By using a supplement, you are just increasing the amount that exists in the body - and increasing the benefits that go along with Arginine.
