Soy Versus Whey Protein for Muscle Building

If you visit a muscle building forum, you will undoubtedly see a few threads full of people arguing about the pros and cons of soy versus whey protein for muscle building purposes. So in this article, I'm going to try and sort it out once and for all. It's a pretty simple issue really, so it won't take long to get to the truth.

The Biological Value indicates both how digestible the protein is and how available the protein is for use by the body. Biological value began as a percentage - A whole egg rated at 100% nitrogen absorbed. According to the study conducted by a medical doctor by the name of Aaron Tabor, soy protein versus whey protein has a bigger advantage especially when it comes to your exercise.

Basically, there are a couple of different protein powders. Whey protein is derived from cows milk. Remember that old nursery rhyme, Incy Wincy Spider Well that mentions curds and whey. Basically two parts of milk. Whey protein is obviously taken from the whey part of the milk.

Then theres soy protein. This is the stuff that is made from soy products. Obviously comes from a different place so it will obviously have different properties. The question you want answered is, which is better for muscle building

My answer to this question is whey protein. The answer can get quite involved when you look at it from a scientific point of view, but I'm not a scientist, I'm a bodybuilder, so I'm going to look at it from a bodybuilders point of view.

Basically, it has been shown in various scientific studies that soy protein can lead to higher levels of estrogen in the body. This is the female hormone and something that you don't want to have more of if you are looking at building muscle.

Firstly, you don't want estrogen because it has no role in muscle building, it only has a negative impact. Heightened levels of estrogen is what actually causes gynocomastia, or man boobs. And I'm not just talking about the little bit of fat that some guys have, I'm talking about actually growing small amounts of breast tissue.

On the other hand, whey protein can actually cause your body to become more anabolic. Meaning it will build muscle more efficiently. And since you are looking to use whey protein for muscle building, this is the one you want to choose.

So there you go, the debate can finally be ended and you can get rid of that tub of soy protein you have sitting in your cupboard.

Hydrolyzed Collagen, Protein Hydrate

Protein Hydrate is a Hydrolyzed Collagen that helps regulate the body's metabolic state by providing enzymatically digested collagen of a low molecular weight that is rapidly absorbed in the digestive tract. It provides important amino acids often missing in most diets. Normal food sources provide significant amounts of trytophan, cysteine, methionine, and histidine, however the Protein Hydrate formula has high amounts of glycine, lysine, and proline that are often found in low amounts or are even missing in other food sources or supplements. Protein Hydrate becomes important as a dietary supplement (along with a normal diet of other proteins) since age induced wear and tear of the connective tissues increases as we age.

This Protein Hydrate contains high levels of the amino acid glycine, which helps the Liver detoxify stored chemicals. It has also been helpful in speeding recovery from injuries.

This formula is an animal based Hydrolyzed Collagen protein powder from grass fed cows which contains biologically active peptides. This protein formula works best when taken on an empty stomach away from food, and then waiting 20-30 minutes before eating anything. It can be mixed with juice or warm tea, and it is absorbed fastest when it's not mixed with other fluids that contain proteins or amino acids.

Hydrolyzed Collagen is exceptional because it has a molecular weight less than 1000, and this low weight results in extremely rapid absorption from the intestinal tract.

The rapid speed of absorption and the distinctive spectrum of amino acids in this formula has a positive impact on a large number of metabolic pathways. It has been found that many people will experience immediate positive effects within 5-18 minutes of consumption when taken on an empty stomach. For example, tests have been done with a number of individuals using 2 tablespoons of the proprietary formula mixed in juice, and some of the effects noticed within 15 minutes of consumption include: improved mental alertness, mental clarity, concentration, and energy. Some people have experienced a short period of dizziness of 3-5 minutes because it causes a sudden release of brain neurotransmitters, however it is not dangerous and passes quickly.

Long term effects : supports repair of musculoskeletal injuries, reduces inflammation, improves hydration of the connective tissues of the body, improves joint flexibility, improves signal induction, improves sleep, reduces pain, improves cellular calcium uptake, increases metabolic rate, and improves the quality of hair and nails.

Many athletes and body builders take protein supplements regularly to support muscle repair and growth, however most protein supplements do not contain the raw materials needed by the body to repair corresponding connective tissue damage. Protein Hydrate Hydrolyzed Collagen taken as a food supplement provides the proper ratios of amino acids needed for collagen production. In addition, hydrolyzed collagen contains naturally occurring glucosamine and hyaluronic acid which supports connective tissue repair as well as providing hydrating and volumizing effects due to the natural ability of connective tissues to hold water.

Roland Moskowitz, M.D., notes that partially hydrolyzed collagen has been used as a food for at least a millenium. Collagen hydrolysate products are considered GRAS i.e., Generally Regarded as Safe, by the Food and Drug Administration. Collagen hydrolysate is now being used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis. The fact that it is considered to be a food with a high level of safety makes it useful for long term use.

What is the function of Collagen and why do we need Hydrolyzed Collagen? Due to the limited food choices in our diets and the wear and tear that occurs with strenuous activity and aging, many people become depleted of the important amino acids needed to make Collagen. This can be a significant problem in individuals involved in strenuous physical activity such as athletes and construction workers.

Collagen is the most abundant fibrous protein found in the body, but in a dietary supplement unprocessed collagen is not digestible. Protein Hydrate provides predigested collagen that contains both free amino acids as well as peptide fragments (smaller chains of amino acids) that are rapidly absorbed through the walls of the intestine into the blood stream. These components are used by the body to build structures and to regulate the functions of the cells. Up to 30% of all the protein in the body is collagen, and up to 70% of the proteins in the connective tissues are composed of collagen. In the body, collagen is made by specialized cells in the skin, ligaments, bones and cartilage. The protein Hydrate formula also provides additional amounts of the amino acids glycine and glutamine. Glucine supports detoxification and glutamine helps the cells increase their levels of the energy storage molecule creatine.

How does it work?

The body's natural ability to repair supporting connective tissue (bone, joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails), an maintain hydration of the cells diminishes after age 25. Hydrolyzed collagen provides the missing link in supplying additional amounts of amino acids like glycine, lysine, and proline which are specifically needed by the body to build connective tissue structures, and to regulate the functions of the cells. Therefore, free amino acids and small peptides in Protein Hydrate provide the advantages of easy digestion, rapid absorption, as well as metabolic regulatory effects.

What are the benefits?

In addition to providing certain missing nutritional links lacking in most dietary supplements, it provides the specific amino acid building blocks needed to build and repair collagen.

For Athletes and Body Builders: it supports muscle growth, increases metabolism, and provides structural material and nutrients needed for the repair of injuries (cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bones and discs).

Anti-Aging: it provides a positive nitrogen balance which is important in the nutritional support of age relayed degeneration like collagen loss and cartilage damage. It is an excellent food product for individuals with a sedentary lifestyle, as well as the very active.

Inflammation: it provides nutritional support for individuals predisposed to repetitive joint injury, pain and joint discomfort.

Arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis: it contains amino acids needed for bone and joint health.

Skin tone: it provides critical nutrients, and helps support skin strength, texture, as well as thickness. Healthy skin retains moisture better, and is more elastic, and less prone to develop fine lines and wrinkles.

Hair: it provides nutritional support for healthy hair.

Nails: it provides nutritional building blocks for strong nails.

Weight loss: many users have more energy which promotes a more active lifestyle, thereby promoting weight loss.

Muscle tone and Strength are supported.

Exposure to Toxic substances: the high glycine content of the formula assists the detoxification process of the liver.

Tissue hydration is supported.

In addition many users report feeling more alert with improved concentration, balanced mood, improved energy and an increased sense of well-being.

Benefits of Protein Supplements

Advantages of Protein Supplement

Protein is an important nutrient needed by the body. It is one of the three nutrients that the body uses as energy source. The three supplements are carbs, fats and protein. Protein is actually amino acids linked like a chain. Amino acids are the body's primary source of nitrogen and the right nitrogen balance is essential for proper growth and repair of the muscles.

Protein is also important to the body for a number of other reasons apart from helping to build muscles. Protein helps to maintain the right blood PH level, creates and maintains the right hormone levels, is an energy source, regulates the fluid balance of the body and is necessary for chemical reactions to take place in the body.

The importance of protein to the proper functioning of the body led to the development of various types of protein bodybuilding supplements such as Whey Protein. Supplements are designed to help meet up with the body's protein requirement. Made from protein extracts, it compliments the protein gotten from daily food intake and builds the body's protein levels to what is needed for larger muscles or better performance.

How Protein Affects Muscle Growth

Increasing your protein intake during a training program will help you achieve better and faster results. Your body is constantly using up protein as you go about your daily activities. The body converts protein to energy and also uses it to repair and replace muscles. Muscle tissues are constantly needing replacement and repairs and protein is needed to achieve this. When you take bodybuilding supplements you help your body to maintain a positive nitrogen balance, which helps to maximize muscle repairs.

When you do not take in enough protein, you confuse the body because it does not have all the needed materials to work with. Without enough protein your body cannot replace or repair all the muscle tissues that need attention. This will lead to muscle loss and will affect other body functions that require protein. For example, the body will have problems maintaining proper hormone and PH levels.

If you are involved with bodybuilding training or any form of sports that require high levels of energy your muscles would more regularly be in need of repair and replacement. That is why weight lifters, body builders and sport people need more protein. To help maintain proper protein and nitrogen levels, you would need to take bodybuilding supplements such as Whey Protein.

What is Protein?

Protein is an essential part of our diet. It is needed for the body to be able to grow and repair tissue and is the main building block of the human body. Protein is a molecule made up of 22 amino acids.

Your body can make literally hundreds of different proteins to perform various functions from these amino acids, such as:

Antibodies - for immune defense

Collagen - for supportive tissue

Enzymes for metabolism

Haemoglobin - for transport

Hormones

The human body can create 12 of these amino acids naturally, while the remaining eight need to be obtained by eating foods which contain them.

These eight amino acids are known as 'Essential Amino Acids' which include:

Isoleucine

Leucine

Lysine

Methionine

Phenylalanine

Threonine

Tryptophan

Valine

The body's proteins are broken down continuously, therefore our bodies needs to produce thousands of proteins every day to replace them. Basically the more active you are - the faster your proteins break down - the faster your protein breaks down - the more protein is needed to refill them. Protein needs to be replenished daily as it is unable to be stored in the body unlike carbohydrates or fats.

The body breaks down and absorbs protein to help our body in many important ways such as:

Balance hormones

Regulates metabolism

Builds and repairs muscle

Grows tissue

Fights against illness and infection

Did You Know?... Protein, like water, is the most plentiful substance in the body. Roughly half of the non-water mass of our bodies are made up of protein.

Parts of the body primarily made up of protein include:

Bones

Eyes

Hair

Individual cells

Ligaments

Muscle

Nails

Organs

Skin

Teeth

Tendons

Tissue

FACT: Our bodies generally require 1-2 grams of protein daily for each kilogram of body weight.

Did You Know?... Protein can also be burned as a source of calories. The amino acids that are not combined into protein are converted to calories or energy.

Will low Protein intake damage my body?

Without a sufficient amount of protein, the body will break down other muscles or tissues; or could even 'borrow' amino acids from the immune system or other body functions to satisfy its protein needs.

FACT: It is essential that your entire body receives enough protein from food to ensure proper growth and maintenance.

Protein is important when working out, for if you have inadequate protein in your body, you won't have enough to rebuild your muscles and other cells and tissue, leaving you weaker and more prone to injury.

Insufficient protein can affect your health and body functions such as:

Bone cell construction

Enzymes

Heart cell turnover rate

Hormones

Immune system

Neurological system

Organ function

Range of Motion/ mobility

Red blood cell production

Skin elasticity

Stamina

Did you know?... An inadequate protein intake during pregnancy may cause a less than ideal body weight for the baby.

Symptoms of protein deficiency include:

Anaemia - usually caused by a lack of iron, it causes insufficient amounts of oxygen to be delivered through the blood to the cells

Oedema - is a build-up of fluids which particularly occurs in the feet or ankles

Slow growth - in children

Wasting and shrinkage of muscle tissue

Is too much Protein dangerous?

Everyone has a different opinion regarding whether or not too much protein is dangerous. If you are generally healthy, don't have any problems with your kidneys or liver, and are not on medication, it is unlikely that it could do any harm.

What happens is when amino acids are not combined into protein, they become calories or energy. During the conversion the body separates the amino acids from their nitrogen atoms, therefore creating nitrogen waste which then enters the kidneys as 'urea' and gets filtered out through the body's urine.

Too much protein can actually cause harm to your kidneys if you have reduced kidney and liver function as the build up of nitrogen waste can strain the kidneys and liver, and can cause them to further weaken.

Did You Know?... A very high protein diet can also prompt excessive mineral calcium loss.

As with anything in life, protein intake needs to be balanced. As a general rule of thumb, 1-2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is adequate. If in doubt, it is wise to consult your Nutritionist to work out what is best for your needs.

What foods are high in Protein?

Almost every animal food including dairy products contain the most protein. If you are a vegetarian, you can easily obtain all of you protein needs by eating a diet with a variety of vegetables and grains.

Proteins rich foods include:

Black beans

Black-eyed peas

Chicken - chicken breast is high in protein

Chickpeas

Cottage cheese

Crab

Dairy

Eggs - egg whites

Fish

Lentils

Lobster

Nuts - Almonds, Peanuts, Cashews, Pecans

Orange roughy

Pork

Prawns - shrimp

Red meat - lean meats such as round steak, sirloin and ground beef

Salmon

Seeds - Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Flax seeds

Soy beans

Soy bean products - tofu, tempeh etc

Split peas

Swordfish

Tuna

Turkey - turkey breast and lean ground turkey is protein rich

Vegetables

Wide variety of beans and legumes

Whole dried peas

Although starches and vegetables have only a small amount of protein, it adds up over the day.

Different protein sources include the following:

Casein Protein

Casein is a white odourless, tasteless combination of phosphor-proteins separated from milk by an enzyme known as rennin. It is very nutritious as it contains all eight of the essential amino acids and is also the basis of cheese. Muscles seem to love casein as they are found to use greater amount of protein through this source in comparison to others.

Did You Know?... Studies suggest casein not only assists in toning and firming muscles but can also assist in increasing muscle strength.

Soy Protein

Soy protein is made from the soybean which is native to East Asia. It is one of the very few plants which provide a complete protein source. The soybean not only provides high quality protein, it is also provides a good amount of vitamins, minerals and fiber, and is fairly low in fat content, making this protein source fantastic for vegetarians.

Whey Protein

Whey protein is a high quality protein naturally produced through cow's milk. It contains a high source of the essential amino acids. Whey protein is one of the most widely used forms of protein as it has numerous health benefits and fitness properties.

Liquid Protein For Special Medical Needs

The term "protein supplement" has always been synonymous with body-building and Olympic athletics but it is just as appropriate in the treatment of illness and disease.

How do you define illness in an age where almost everyone has an allergy or a sensitivity to foods or environmental factors? Extreme illnesses such as cancer or renal failure are obvious to the layman and to the average doctor. However the early stages of disease, literally uneasiness, may only show as sleeplessness, depression, lack of appetite, loss of memory, low libido or lack of energy. This is the puzzle with which the medical profession is often faced and a patient is more likely to be prescribed anti-depressants rather than the dietary advice they deserve.

The simple truth is that many of us eat a poor diet, suffering the consequences not realizing that the basic building block in our recovery from our sometimes self-inflicted uneasiness is nothing more startling than protein. Many of the symptoms mentioned above could be the early stages of Hypoglycemia, a condition that diabetics will recognize as their nemesis. Protein along with starchy foods, fruit, vegetables and dairy products has an important role to play in stabilizing the body's mechanisms to avoid or prevent such symptoms.

Studies have shown that Fibromyalgia patients, who suffer from muscular pain even if they have not been working out, almost always have a faulty digestive system that cannot properly break down proteins. This has a domino effect on the systems of the body, allowing infections and imbalances to occur.

A common post-operative condition, especially amongst the elderly, is protein calorie malnutrition (PCM). As many as half of all elderly hospitalized patients show signs of undernourishment and PCM is a major cause of fatality in the hospital environment. The elderly are notorious for their fussy eating habits which can be exacerbated by a stay in hospital.

Severe burns cause the body to trigger rapid muscle protein breakdown automatically, a process called catabolism, and it can be difficult to maintain what is called lean body mass (LBM). Our LBM is our total tissue mass (organs and muscles) without storage fat. Higher than normal protein intake for severe burns patients is therefore critical but the correct balance is vital as over-dosing on protein can cause a build-up of urea and ammonia which can, in turn, cause nausea and vomiting. This will obviously reverse any benefit the additional protein might bring, so it is essential that the patient and the carers have a method of assessing protein input accurately.

Malnutrition and cancer often go hand in hand and almost a quarter of cancer patients can be classified as anorexic. To be clear, anorexia is the condition where the patient loses their appetite and as a consequence will shed weight. The anorexia leads to a condition called cachexia where muscle mass is lost and the resulting progressive weakness can cause premature death. There have been some encouraging results from nutrition therapy with these patients where muscle building protein has improved their condition.

Renal Failure, a condition where toxins build up in the patient's body and the kidneys fail to function properly, occurs mainly amongst the elderly unfortunate enough to be hospitalized. Recovery from this condition demands that the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) level and serum creatinine level are normalized. Urea and creatinine are both by-products of protein breakdown so this can be partially achieved by careful monitoring of protein intake.

Dementia patients suffer from a number of problems when it comes to protein intake. Firstly, as their condition progresses and they become depressed their appetite may reduce and it is also believed that their taste and smell senses are distorted by misfiring nerve pathways in their brains. They can also find difficulty in using a knife and fork, chewing and swallowing. Failure to recognize that the food in front of them can relieve their hunger will almost inevitably mean they will not eat a whole meal portion. The result of all of this is that it can become difficult to assess whether a dementia patient has had an appropriate intake of protein to maintain their body in a healthy state.

Protein, in the correct form, is unarguably a cornerstone of health maintenance and recovery from illness but the complication for us all is the measurement of protein intake. Protein supplements have been available for many years and generally take the form of powders that are whisked up into the equivalent of a milkshake. A half-pint or pint of shake is fine for those with a healthy thirst and the constitution to swig it back but for the feeble, the weak and the old this can be just as daunting as steak and fries with a side order of onions. The answer seems so simple we wonder why no-one has thought of it before.

The protein complex used in the capsules is Actinase, billed as a natural, hypoallergenic, enzymatically-hydrolyzed formula. It contains all the essential amino acids and 100% heat-stable, short-chain peptide proteins making it more easily processed by flawed digestive systems. Because it is such a concentrated formula and has a neutral taste and smell it should be easier for those with poor appetites to consume significant quantities of protein in line with their needs without feeling that they are being force-fed.

Many of us have digestive systems that we have maltreated for many years, throwing inappropriate "food" like alcohol, chocolate, salt and junk food into ourselves, not realizing that we have damaged our ability to properly break down proteins. The result of this is that the cell-building qualities of our food do not reach the parts of our bodies that need them.

Nutritional myths that just will not die - Protein!

When it comes to the topic of sports nutrition there are many myths and falsehoods that are floating around like a ghost among the shadows. That appear when you least expect it and work on the upper floors of a hard training athlete trying to make some progress.

Of all the myths that arise from time to time, the protein myth seems to be more entrenched and widespread. Just do not go away. The problem is that your group or perpetuating"Myth" can not be easily identified.

You see, the conservative nutritional and medical community believes it is the bodybuilders who perpetuate the myth that athletes need more protein and bodybuilding community believe that they (the conventional nutritional community) that perpetuates the myth that athletes do not need additional protein! Who is right?

The conservative medical community and nutrition is a strange group. Are rules to follow and maintain what I meanas the "double standard of nutrition." For example, if it comes to taking vitamin C supplements to prevent cancer, heart disease, colds and other illnesses that come back with "insufficient data to support the use of vitamin C as a preventive measure for these diseases" when in fact there are hundreds of literary studies that show the many benefits of this vitamin for the prevention and treatment of these diseases.

And, of course, if you sayI'm on a high protein diet because you are an athlete will say, "Oh, you do not want to, not needed and that will lead to kidney disease" without a single decent study to back up your claim! You see that they too are susceptible to myth lurking specter that spreads lies and confusion. In this article we want to address once and for all (hopefully) the protein myth that applies to what the average person tells you when you tell your doctor or some anemic "all you need areGDR "jets nutritionist that he or she is following a diet rich in protein.

Myth # 1 "The athletes need more protein"

I thought I would start to destroy the myth this article most annoying myth first. Lord, when will it go? Now the average reader person is probably thinking "that the world continues to believe that ridiculous statement?" The answer is a lot of people, including health education professionals and scientists who should know betterstill believe that this is true. Do not forget, the high-carbohydrate, low-fat recommendations, low-protein diet are alive and well in the medical field nutritionist, and of course the "do not confuse us with facts" media following close behind.

For half a century, scientists more or less crude methods and poor study design with sedentary people have held the firm belief that bodybuilders, strength athletes of various types, runners, and other highly active has not requested anymore protein than Mr. Potato Head ..... uh, I mean the average couch potato.

However, researchers in recent decades with better study designs and methods with real live athletes have come to a conclusion very different, a hard conclusion bodybuilders training have known for years. The fact that active people need protein actually much more than the RDA to avoid the loss of hard tissue gain muscle when dieting or increasing muscle tissue during the offseason.

In arecent review article on the subject of the best researchers in the field (Dr. Peter Lemon) states "... These data suggest that the RDA for those engaged in regular endurance exercise should be about 1.2 to 1.4 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight (150% -175% of the current RDA) -. 1.8 and 1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day (212% -225% of the current RDA) To force professional "

Another group of researchers in the field of protein metabolism have reached similar conclusionsrepeatedly. They found that strength training athletes eating approximately the RDA / RNI for protein showed a reduction in protein synthesis throughout the body (losing muscle jack!) A protein intake of 0.86 grams per kilogram body. They came to a conclusion almost identical to that of Dr. Lemon in recommending at least 1.76g per kilogram of body weight per day for athletes strength training to stay in positive nitrogen balance and increases protein synthesis in the whole body.

Thissame research group later found that endurance athletes also need more protein / RDA RNI and that men catabolize (break down) more protein than women during endurance exercise.

They concluded "In summary, protein requirements for athletes performing strength training are greater than sedentary individuals and are above current Canadian and U.S. recommended daily requirements for protein intake young healthy men. All I can say is that no, sh% # Sherlock?!

Now myintention to bid in the current investigation is not necessarily to convince the average athlete that they need more protein than Joe Shmoe couch potato, but rather to introduce readers to some of the figures presented by the current investigation.

How does this information relate to the eating habits of an average athlete and the advice found in the literature of the years was bodybuilding before this research ever existed? With some variations, the mostCommon Council on the recruitment of proteins that could be, and can be found in the bodybuilding magazines by various writers, coaches, bodybuilders, etc, is a gram of protein per kilo of body weight per day.

So for a guy 200 pounds that would be 200 grams of protein a day. No problem. So how does this advice fair with the previous findings of current research? Well, let's see. Being as scientists to work in kilograms (do not ask why) we have to do some conversion. A kilogram weighs 2.2 pounds. Therefore,200 divided by 2.2 gives 90.9. Multiply that times 1.8 (the upper part of the research of Dr. Lemon) and you get 163.6 grams of protein a day. What about the nutritionists, doctors and others who call (ed) us "protein dealers" while recommending the RDA and should be suitable for athletes?

We'll see. The current RDA is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight: 200 divided by 2.2 x 0.8 = 73 grams of protein per day for a person who weighs 200 pounds. So who was closer, the bodybuilders or the armPresident scientists? Well, we'll see! 200g (what bodybuilders have recommended for an athlete than 200 pounds) - 163 g (upper limit of the recommendations of the ongoing investigation into a person of 200 pounds) = 37 grams (the difference between what bodybuilders should eat and ongoing research).

Like the RDA pushers fair? Hey, if they happen to call us "protein pushers" who come to call them "RDA dealers! However, 163 g - 73 G = (drum role) 90 grams! Therefore, it seems that the bodybuilding community haswas much more precise information on protein needs of strength athletes than the average nutritionist and I do not think this comes as a surprise to any of us.

So if the average bodybuilder to reduce your protein intake a little "of this data? No, and I'll explain why. As with vitamins and other nutrients, you identify what appears to be the exact amount of the compounds necessary for the effect you want (in this case positive nitrogen balance, increased protein synthesis, etc)and add a safety margin to take into account biochemical individuality of different people, the fact that there are sources of protein low grade that the person may be eating, and other variables.

So the current recommendation by the majority of bodybuilders, coaches, writers and others of one gram per kilogram of body weight, does a good job of taking into account current research and add a safety margin. One thing is certain, a little protein "is also much less damaging to the 'objective of athletes (s) to increase muscle mass very little protein, and this makes the RDA Advisory dealers only much more .... idiot, for lack of a better word.

There are some other points that seem important to take into account when we recommend additional protein in the diet of athletes, especially strength training athletes. In low season, strength training athletes needs not only adequate protein but adequate calories. Assuming our friend (the bodybuilder 200 pounds) to eatabout 3500 calories a day, since it is supposed to split his calories up?

Again, this is where bodybuilding community and the conservative nutritional and medical community will have a fork ... again. The conservative types would say "this is not easy, you just tell the bodybuilder who should form the bulk of their calories from carbohydrates."

Now let's assume the bodybuilder does not eat too many carbohydrates. Now the problem is quite high in carbohydratesfight different article, so I just do not go in depth about it here. Suffice it to say that those who regularly reads articles, books, etc, by people like Dan Duchaine, Dr. Mauro Di Pasquale, Barry Sears, PhD, Udo Erasmus PhD, I and others know why the high carb diet bites the most big fat loss and muscle mass (Actually, recent research suggesting that carbohydrate restriction, not calorie restriction per se, is what is responsible formobilizing fat stores).

For the sake of argument and lack of space, we will take our friend bodybuilder 200 pounds refuses to eat a diet high in carbohydrates for their own reasons, whatever.

What else can you eat? He is left with fat and protein. If you divide your diet or 30% protein, 30% fat, carbohydrates and 40%, going to eat 1050 calories as protein (3500x30% = 1050) and 262.5g of protein a day (1050 divided by 4 = 262.5 .) So what we have is an amount (262.5g), whichmeets the current investigation, has a margin of safety, and a component added to the caloric needs of energy and people who are tired of a diet rich in carbohydrates, hich is a large percentage of the Community / Training bodybuilding strength. Here are some other reasons for the high protein intake such as hormonal effects (ie effects of IGF-1, GH, thyroid), thermal effects, etc. but I think I did the right spot.

So there's a time when the bodybuilder who wants to go beyondthe percentage of calories> from protein, 30%? Of course, when you are dieting.

It is well known that carbohydrates are "protein sparing" and the protein it requires greater percent of calories when you reduce calories. Furthermore, diet is a moment that the preservation of lean body mass (muscle) is a luxury. Finally, calories decrease the quality and quantity of protein in the diet is the most important variable for maintaining muscle tissue (which applies to nutritional factors), and, of course, proteinnutrient is the least that can be converted into body fat.

In my opinion, the above information bodes well for the high protein diet. If I tell the average RDA pusher you are eating 40% protein while on a diet, they will tell you that 40% is far too much protein. But is it? To say that our friend has dropped his 200 pounds to 2,000 calories in an attempt to reduce body fat for a competition, the weather in the summer at the beach or whatever. Let's do the math. 40% x 2000 = 800 calories of protein or 200 g (800divided by 4). So as you can see, it is actually eating less protein per day in low season, but is still in the field of current research with the margin of safety and / or bodybuilding current recommendations intact.

In short? High protein diets are better for reducing body fat mass, muscle gain, and help hard training bodybuilder achieve his (or her!) Objectives, and it is obvious that endurance athletes also benefit from more diets protein uselessRDA and obsolete.

Myth # 2 "high protein diets are bad for you"

Then, the average person reads the above information on protein needs and benefits of a diet rich in protein, but remember in the back of their mind another myth about the use of the protein. "I thought high protein diets are bad for the kidneys and give you osteoporosis," they exclaim with conviction and indignation. But what are the medical facts behind these claims and why so many people, including some doctors professionals and nutritionists, still believe?

For starters, the negative health claims of the high protein diet on renal function is based on information gathered by people with existing kidney problems. Shows one of the jobs of the kidneys is the excretion of urea (generally a non-toxic compound) that is formed from ammonia (a very toxic compound) which comes from protein in our diet. People with severe kidney problems, the expulsion of> Urea put more emphasis on the kidneys and then the logic is that a high protein diet must be hard for the kidneys for healthy athletes.

Now, medical and scientific facts. There is no scientific study published in a couple of reputation - reviewed in healthy adults with normal renal function, which showed no renal dysfunction that never for a diet high in protein. None of the studies with healthy athletes that I mentioned above, or otherI have read research showed renal abnormalities at all. In addition, animal studies done using high protein diets also did not show any kidney dysfunction in healthy animals.

Now do not forget, in the real world, where millions of athletes have followed protein diets for decades, there has never been a case of renal failure in a healthy athlete that was determined was caused solely by a protein-rich diet. If the high protein diet has actually been canceledstrain on the kidneys, which have seen many cases of kidney abnormalities, but we have none.

From a personal perspective as a trainer for many athletes from different sports, I have known bodybuilders eating much more than the research suggested above (above 600 grams a day) showed no kidney problems or kidney dysfunction, and I personally read damn blood tests! In short? 1 to 1.5 grams or protein per kilo of body weight will have absolutely no evileffects on renal function of a healthy athlete, period. Now, of course, much of this can be harmful and I suppose it is possible that a healthy person can eat enough protein for a sufficiently long period of time to effect kidney function, but it is very unlikely and has not yet been demonstrated in science literature in healthy athletes.

And what about the claim of osteoporosis? This is a bit "more complicated, but the conclusion is the same. The pathology of osteoporosis involves a combinationmany risk factors and physiological variables, such as macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.), hormonal profiles, lack of exercise, sex, family history, and few others.

The theory is that the protein intake increases the acidity of the blood and the body must use minerals from bone stores to "buffer" the blood and bring the blood acidity down, thus reducing one of the bones minerals. Even if there was aclear link between a diet high in protein and osteoporosis in all populations (and are) no athletes have some of the risk factors because they tend to get plenty of exercise, calories, minerals, vitamins and have positive hormonal profiles.

Fact of the matter is that some studies have shown that athletes have denser bones than sedentary people, there are millions of athletes who follow high protein diets without signs of bone loss early, and we now have former athletes are elderlywith high rates of osteoporosis.

In fact, a recent study showed that women receiving extra protein from a protein supplement had increased bone density in a group of not getting the extra protein! The researchers theorized this was due to an increase in IGF-1 is known to be involved in bone growth.

I might recommend a diet high in protein for super sedentary postmenopausal women? Probably not, but we're not talking about you, we're talking about athletes. FundOnline? A high protein diet does not lead to osteoporosis in healthy athletes with very few risk factors for this affliction, especially in the ranges of protein intake that have been discussed in this article.

Myth # 3 "All proteins are created equal"

How many times have you heard or read this ridiculous statement? Yes, in a sedentary couch potato who does not mind that his head is the same shape as the cushion on which is seated, the protein quality is of little interest. However,Research has shown repeatedly that different proteins have different functional properties may benefit athletes.

For example, protein concentrate, whey (WPC) has been shown to improve immunity to a variety of challenges and intense exercise has been shown to affect parts of the immune response. WPC is also exceptionally high in branched chain amino acids are amino acids that are oxidized during exercise and had many benefits forathletes. We also know soy has many uses for athletes, and this is covered in its entirety on the site Brinkzone in another article.

However, it could go on all day about the various functional properties of different proteins, but not necessary. The fact is that science is rapidly discovering that proteins with different proportions of amino acids (and other components found within the various protein foods) have very different effects on the human body and it is these functional propertiesthat bodybuilders and other athletes can use to their advantage.

In short? People who believe that all proteins are alike continue to eat a low protein and nowhere while they laugh all the way to a muscular, healthy body, low in fat!

Conclusion

Over the years above myths have been floating around for so long has been accepted as true, although there is little or no research to prove and a lot of research that refutesthat! I hope this article has been helpful in clarifying some of the confusion for people over the myths surrounding protein and athletes. Of course, now I have to face even tougher myths such as "all fats are fat and are bad for you," "supplements are a waste of time" and my favorite, "a calorie is a calorie. "

The next time someone gives you a difficult time in their protein intake, a copy of the latest study on the topic and give it to them. If this fails, the roleThe largest bodybuilding magazine you can find and hit hem over the head with it!

Muscle Advance Sport Nutritionals - whey protein best complement

body building can be shown how to modify your muscles or using them to participate in the bodybuilding sport. Sports Council requires the construction of building lean muscle mass. You have to take the appropriate amount of calories to facilitate muscle building and construction. calories not only fuels appropriate work, but also holds fast to repair tissue. solid strength training program should be done with adequate caloric intake for proper muscle development. Proteins play apredominant role in tissue repair and muscle building, because it is the basic material for building muscle tissue. So a sports athlete needs more protein than nonathletes. The estimate is that a sports athlete needs to consume 0.6 to 0.8 grams of protein per kilo of body weight per day. Foodstuffs such as meat, fish, chicken, eggs, nonfat dairy products, dried fruits and vegetable protein supply to our body.

Athletes need to consume large quantities of these foods, but it is better ifa protein supplement is taken with these foods. Most foods today lack key nutrients, and a protein supplement invariably compensate for this deficiency.

Muscle Advance is a whey protein supplement that supplies the muscles of bodybuilders and athletes, helping the body deal with sports and vigorous exercise profitably. The dose of whey protein in the advanced product provides the body with the necessary dose ofprotein per serving, promotes normal body growth, and keep your weight under control, even after strengthening. Better integration of the muscles Advance Whey protein is low in carbohydrates to maintain nitrogen balance in the body, allowing the growth of healthy muscle. The product is available in chocolate and vanilla flavors and delicious flavors. To mix the supplement with water or milk, and take it. So it's pretty easy to take the supplement.

Usually recommendedsupplement take 2-3 servings daily. The product has a low glycemic index and can be taken along with a diet of protein. One should take the supplement after waking and after exercise. It may be assumed by all, without side effects.

Protein capsulized special medical needs

Maggie Tipton, protein drinks are close capsulized bodybuilding supplements on the shelf at your local health food store. However, more and more hospitals and medical centers across the country are taking very seriously.

Maggie has been a resident in a nursing home for more than a dozen years. Physically, it seems as fit as you might expect for 89 years. The truth is that she is becoming more fragile than his dementia worsened to preventunderstand why you think it does. More often these days the need for assistance in the walk of 50 feet from your bedroom to the TV room. During the food your appetite is not what it was, and support staff and resident care team recognizes only the model, after a few days. He got used to the fact that Maggie had to be forced to eat, but due to changes and heavy workloads for staff in the nursing home, their food intake was very smallunnoticed. The normal response to a situation of this nursing home in particular, and many around the country, home to the consumption of food and fluid monitoring through a graphic account is completed at the end of each shift. Although this is a practical measure, suffers from being imprecise - the only agent may be responsible for up to twenty residents, often leads to incorrect reporting.

Moreover, by providing a patient with dementia to reject conventional foodsMalnutrition does not take into account the need for protein. Older people with weak constitutions and defective prosthesis dodgy digestive systems in general, choose foods that are easy to digest, easy to swallow in preference to protein-rich foods are often more difficult to eat. Even the American Heart Association's recommendation of 6 ounces of cooked meat a day can be difficult to achieve, especially since the portions served are rarely so clearly in the nursing home kitchen. [You can delete this sentence:After a busy day, you're still left with the dilemma of what to do with the data that Maggie had only two bites of beef stew for lunch.]

How much better would be for staff to report that Maggie had exactly 75 grams of protein during the day? You could do this so easily, ensuring you get the contents of three small bottles shaped capsule. The capsules contain a lower dose of a drink, ready to drink that contains only 2.7 ounces - aboutthird of a cup - and yet it has 25 grams of protein and the full range of water soluble vitamins.

So many diseases, allergies and intolerances are caused or exacerbated by poor nutrition, and medical community knows that protein is often a key element of the solution.

More and more patients and professionals are turning to capsulized foods - nutrition in a compact form dense liquid - as part of an overall treatment plan or diet.

While taste reigns supreme for patientsefficiency is the concern of health professionals. "We have almost 160 beds in our Renal Care facilities, and the absorption of proteins is a crucial challenge for our patients.

Many serious illnesses require careful monitoring of protein intake. Patients with severe burns, for example, be subject to rapid degradation of muscle proteins, known as a loss. The body tries to stabilize automatically, but as a result, lean body mass (LBM) dramatically unless an alternative, easyavailable source of protein is present. Our lean body mass is our total tissue mass (muscle and organs), so it is easy to see why the control of this downward spiral is fundamental. Higher than normal protein intake for patients with severe burns is essential, but the balance is vital as excessive doses of protein can cause a buildup of urea and ammonia. This can cause nausea and vomiting, which can undo the achievements of supplemental protein. For this reason, it is essential that the patientand nurses have a consistent method for evaluating the accuracy of input proteins.

Similarly, the recovery of renal failure requires close monitoring of their protein intake. Treatment and recovery for which the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine level normalized. Both urea and creatinine are products of the digestion of proteins and, as with Maggie, these patients respond well to a supplement that is easy to consume.

Almostquarter of patients with cancer can be diagnosed as anorexic, a condition in which loss of appetite in the results of dramatic weight loss. If left unchecked, leads to anorexia, a condition called cachexia, where muscle mass is lost and the resulting progressive weakness can lead to premature death. Encourage studies using tissue-building proteins in the nutritional support has improved the condition of these patients. You can not cure cancer, but will improve the quality of their lives, increasing nutritionthe impact of the symptoms and reduce the possibility of secondary infections.

In tumors, the disease may be responsible for the provision of the digestive system lacks in its ability to convert foods properly. Patients with gastrointestinal tract diseases are especially at risk of malabsorbing nutrients, but it seems a balanced diet. However, there are millions of us who have abused our digestive system for life. Some doctors estimate that 90%of all diseases can be attributed to poor diet or faulty digestion. If we consider the poisons remain in our bodies - alcohol, chocolate, saturated fat, salt and caffeine - along with large amounts of stress, there is no doubt that our gastrointestinal tract may fail and then have a smaller capacity to correctly analyze proteins.

Maybe we should not wait until we are in 89 years, Maggie Tipton, to take a controlling stake inprotein plays an important role in our diet and our health.

Hydrolyzed collagen protein hydration

Protein Hydrate is a Hydrolyzed Collagen that helps regulate the body's metabolic state by providing enzymatically digested collagen of low molecular weight that is rapidly absorbed in the digestive tract. Provides important amino acids often missing in most diets. Normal food sources provide significant amounts of tryptophan, cystine, methionine and histidine, however, the protein hydration formula has high amounts of glycine, lysine, proline and often found in lowamounts or even absent in other food sources or supplements. Protein Hydrate becomes important as a dietary supplement (along with a normal diet of other proteins) since age induced wear increases connective tissue as we age.

This hydrate protein contains high levels of amino acid glycine, which helps the liver detoxify stored chemicals. E 'was also useful to speed recovery from injury.

This formula is a hydrolyzed animal collagenprotein powder from grass fed cows containing bioactive peptides. This protein formula works best when taken on an empty stomach away from food, then wait 20-30 minutes before eating anything. Can be mixed with fruit juice or hot tea, and is absorbed more quickly when mixed with other liquids that contain proteins or amino acids.

Hydrolyzed Collagen is exceptional because it has a molecular weight less than 1000, and this results in rapid extremely low birth weightabsorption in the intestinal tract.

The rapid rate of absorption and the characteristic spectrum of amino acids in this formula has a positive impact on a large number of metabolic pathways. It was discovered that many people experience an immediate positive effect by 18.5 minutes of consumption when taken on an empty stomach. For example, the tests were carried out with a number of individuals with 2 tablespoons juice mixture patented formula, and some of the effectsaccount within 15 minutes of consumption include: improved mental alertness, mental clarity, concentration and energy. Some people have experienced a short period of dizziness of 3-5 minutes, causing a sudden release of neurotransmitters in the brain, however, is not dangerous and goes quickly.

The long-term effects: supports repair of musculoskeletal injuries, reduces inflammation, improves hydration of the body's connective tissues, improves joint flexibility, improves signalinduction, improves sleep, reduces pain, improves cellular calcium uptake, increases metabolic rate and improves the quality of hair and nails.

Many athletes and bodybuilders take protein supplements regularly to support muscle repair and growth, however most protein supplements do not contain the raw materials needed by the body to repair corresponding connective tissue damage. Protein Hydrate Hydrolyzed Collagen taken as a dietary supplement that provides the relationship between amino acidsnecessary for the production of collagen. It also contains glucosamine natural hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid which supports connective tissue repair and provide moisturization and volumizing effects due to the natural ability of connective tissue to retain water.

Roland Moskowitz, MD, notes that partially hydrolyzed collagen has been used as food for at least a millennium. hydrolysed collagen products that are considered GRAS, generally regarded as safeFood and Drug Administration. Hydrolyzed collagen is now used in the treatment of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. That is considered a food with a high level of safety makes it useful for long-term use.

What is the role of collagen and hydrolyzed collagen, as we need? Due to the limited selection of foods in our diet and wear that occurs with strenuous activity and aging, many people rush important amino acids needed to makeCollagen. This can be a significant problem for people who participate in physical activity as athletes and construction workers.

Collagen is the most abundant fibrous protein in the body, but in a dietary supplement unprocessed collagen is not digestible. Protein Hydrate provides predigested collagen that contains free amino acids and fragments of peptides (small chains of amino acids) that are easily absorbed through the intestinal wallblood flow. These components are used by the body to create structures and regulate cellular functions. Up to 30% of all proteins in the body is collagen, and up to 70% of the protein in connective tissue composed of collagen. In the body, collagen is composed of specialized cells, ligaments, skin, bone and cartilage. The hydrated protein formula also provides additional value from the amino acids glycine and glutamine. Beryllium supports detoxification andglutamine helps the cells increase their levels of creatine molecule energy storage.

How it works

the body's natural ability to repair supporting connective tissue (bones, joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails), an maintain hydration of the cells diminishes after age 25. Hydrolyzed collagen provides the missing link in the supply of additional quantities of amino acids like glycine, lysine and proline, which are specifically needed by the body tobuild connective tissue structures, and regulate cell functions. Therefore, free amino acids and small peptides of the protein hydration provides the advantages of easy digestion, rapid absorption and metabolism regulators.

What are the benefits?

In addition to providing certain missing nutritional links lacking in most dietary supplements, provides the specific amino acid building blocks needed to build and repair collagen.

For athletes and bodyBuilder: Supports muscle growth, increases metabolism, and provides the structural material and nutrients needed for repair of injuries (cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bones and discs).

Anti-Aging: Provides a positive nitrogen balance is important for nutritional support of children presented as degeneration of cartilage loss and damage collagen. This is an excellent food for individuals with a sedentary lifestyle, and very active.

Inflammation:provides nutritional support for people predisposed to repeated injury, joint pain and discomfort.

Arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis: it contains the amino acids necessary for healthy bones and joints.

skin tone: it provides essential nutrients and helps support skin strength, structure and thickness. Healthy skin retains moisture better and is more elastic and less prone to develop fine lines and wrinkles.

Hair: it provides nutritional support forhealthy hair.

Nails: Provides nutrients for strong nails.

Weight loss: many users have more energy, which promotes a more active lifestyle, thereby promoting weight loss.

Muscle tone and strength are compatible.

Exposure to toxic substances: the high glycine content of the formula aid liver detoxification.

Tissue hydration is supported.

In addition, many users report feeling more alert with improved concentration, balanced mood, energy and a greater sense of wellbeing.

The cardioprotective benefits of soy protein - Sports

Recent evidence on the cardioprotective benefits of soy isoflavones has stimulated an increase in the consumption of soy protein powder. Even if the consumer is more likely that the ingestion of powdered soy isoflavones, also qualify for the same protein. Nitrogen balance studies in humans indicate that isolated soy protein is comparable to that of animals, the effects of soy-based diet compared with a diet of animal protein in the body of complete protein turnover -fuevaluated using two groups of six men. The rates of protein synthesis and protein degradation was similar in both groups. However, more recent research compared with casein soy in net protein retention in pigs. constant infusions of casein or soy were performed with measurements postabsorptively and 2-6 hours after enteral feeding. kinetics of urea and amino acid were evaluated by a constant infusion protocol developed with L-[ring-2, 63H] phenylalanineL-3-3H], 4 valine, [and 15N] urea [15N. During the meal, the appearance of amino acids in the portal vein and its adoption by the liver was lower with casein infusion. muscular uptake was not different between the infusions of casein or soy. Soy infusion stimulated a lower rate of intestinal protein synthesis and the rate of muscle protein turnover. Casein infusion stimulated a higher rate of protein synthesis and degradation of the liver. In the post-absorption condition, the infusion of casein did notalter the hepatic production of urea, while the infusion of soybean has increased significantly. The researchers concluded that soy protein has a lower quality than the protein casein.

Soy is well tolerated with no adverse effects associated with its use. Soy stimulates lower rates of protein synthesis and degradation of the liver, therefore, future research in combination with other soy protein may be insightful in providing a protein that not only reducescardiovascular disease risk, but also maintain higher levels of protein synthesis and low levels of protein degradation.

-Glutamine promotes muscle glycogen

In this study, seven men of average physical fitness has participated in three different studies. First, the subjects performed exercise bike designed to deplete the fast and slow twitch muscle glycogen.

Then it was received or

A solution of glucose polymer, 18.5%;

8 gglutamine, or

A solution of glucose polymer 18.5% and 8 grams of glutamine.

During the three tests, which also received a continuous infusion of glucose for 2 hours. The plasma concentration of glutamine increased dramatically after taking glutamine by itself or with the polymer of glucose. Glutamine concentrations were 70% higher than baseline 30-45 minutes after ingestion of glutamine. Furthermore, ingestion of glutamine had no effect on insulin levels. As expected glucose polymeringestion (with or without glutamine) resulted in a substantial increase in insulin that lasted 30-90 minutes. Glutamine is as effective as glucose polymer solution increased muscle glycogen after exercise glycogen reduction.

According to the researchers, "Oral glutamine alone promoted storage of muscle glycogen to a similar extent with the polymer of glucose orally. Ingestion of glutamine and glucose polymers as well as promote the storage of carbohydrate outside skeletal musclemuscles, the liver is the most viable.

The role of whey protein in achieving significant muscle gain

Most builders agree that supplementation with whey protein is an important element for serious muscle gains. This article examines the facts relating to whey protein as a supplement and help you decide whether you need to follow this particular strategy.
Whey protein is produced during the process that sees milk turned into cheese. It is also found naturally in dairy products, eggs, soy and vegetables, but none of these compares in quality to whey proteindust. It also scores well in providing branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), which are important in building and maintaining muscles.
Whey protein is highly favored by bodybuilders because it provides the basis for producing the amino acids the body uses to build muscle tissue. Many studies have shown that whey protein contains the perfect combination of amino acids in just the right concentration for optimal performance in the body. It is also believedthat whey protein has a role as a manufacturer of anti-oxidant and immune systems.
It is best taken in powder form mixed with juice or milk, spread throughout the day to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. Serious bodybuilders often consume up to 150 grams a day, but as a rule, daily intake of protein for instructors assets can be calculated as weight in pounds and multiplying by 1 or 1.5. But remember, you must understand the amount of protein intake of food and othersources, and then spread to the rest of the protein in the whey during the day.
Whey protein is a relatively safe supplement but no more than 30 grams of protein should be taken in a single session of excessive single doses could overload the liver. The safety of whey protein has been well documented in numerous scientific studies and no evidence that took forever, along with regular physical activity, the result is the significant increase of the muscle.
You can find more information about building musclebenefits provided by whey protein to the website listed below.

The protein can be given if you have kidney problems?

Kidneys.

The kidneys are some of the most vital organs of the body. Waste seeps into our body that travels through the body fluids. And normally processes 200 liters of blood and debris from the filter. Of that amount is usually able to separate about 2 liters of waste is through the urine. This process also keeps the blood is chemically balanced.

the effects of the protein in the kidneys.

For years it was believed that protein intake in excess can damage the kidneys until recent studies refute this hypothesis. These studies show that, in general, diets high in protein are tolerated by healthy adults. It s a different story for someone who already has a kidney problem, however. Since the kidney filters waste products in body fluids, a person with damaged kidneys have trouble getting rid of these waste products of metabolism of proteins.

The protein is found in bones, muscles, skin, organs,> The blood, hormones and enzymes. E 'substantially blocking your body while amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. The body, however, can not store excess protein. During digestion and metabolism, protein breaks down into amino acids. These amino acids bond with certain compounds to perform their specific function. additional "L" amino acids, however, are deprived of nitrogen. These parts of nitrogen is not used for energy or converted into fat. Othercompounds (nitrogen) becomes waste at the end nitrogen and excreted by the kidneys and liver.

Studies.

In one study, 77 young men were subjected to intense training and a high protein diet for several weeks. Previously, her blood urea nitrogen, creatinine and uric acid were tested to obtain the status of your kidneys. These same parameters were monitored throughout the study and showed that their diet is not emphasized inkidneys. Another study compared a group of body builders and a group of highly skilled athletes. Both groups consume high amounts of protein, body builders more than athletes. On average, bodybuilder consume about 169g of protein a day, while the athletes about 99g per day. Some of the bodybuilders consume up to 2.8 g / kg. Although some parameters (such as uric acid) is found in the culture, the evidence does not show any strain on the kidneys and renal function. Tothose who already have kidney problems, high-protein diets may increase the risk of kidney stones. This does not mean that people with kidney failure may have more protein. In a study funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Manitoba Institute of Child Health, concluded that soy protein and other animal products causes less damage to the kidneys (which is already a problem) that from meat and dairy productsproducts.

Unfortunately, many people do not know when they have reduced kidney function. This is because, for most people in the early stages of renal function is not present. If a person has kidney disease or liver or other chronic health condition should consult a doctor before trying a new diet.

Using whey protein to increase muscle mass!

Simply put, whey protein is more effective than are in bodybuilding supplements. With most athletes begin to realize that whey protein is the key to a special physical, not surprisingly, the whey is becoming the most popular supplement on the market.

It s recently that modern sports science and technology has filtered whey protein that can be used in sports supplements, muscle builders themselves known andappreciate.

The serum is actually a complement to the bodybuilding world and has helped many teachers to move to their goals. In the diet to build muscle, is often high protein intake is recommended that most coaches is difficult to achieve. However, whey protein powder to provide a quick and easy source of high quality protein for bodybuilders and those looking to add muscle mass.

This type of integration is not high in saturated fat, which is oftencontained in other good sources of protein such as eggs and red meat as meat. This key high protein low in fat is an important factor influencing the popularity of buttermilk.

So what is the whey protein and where it comes? Whey is one of the two sources of protein found in milk (casein protein is the other). As milk became cheese, whey protein is filtered. Whey is very important for bodybuilders, and there are several reasons for this. At the top of the whey proteins are easily digestibleby the body. As for protein powders, the term is used more and biological value (BV). BV is a measure of the efficiency with which protein is absorbed and utilized by the body for tissue growth - the higher the value, the greater the efficiency. Secondly, whey is rich in amino acids that are crucial for muscle development and sustain new muscle. Probably the most effective and economically efficient to provide the necessary level of amino acids is throughwhey protein supplements.

Now for the "science bit: the amino acids are chains of nitrogen containing subunits that form a protein. The amino acids to determine whether a protein is complete or not. To be complete, a protein containing all essential amino acids. The body does not can produce the essential amino acids, so it must be produced through a diet. A supplement of whey protein is excellent a great source of essential amino acids and provide the necessary amount ofnonessential amino acids and essential in order to take full advantage of the gym sessions. Perhaps even more important for those trying to gain muscle and weight is the addition of the ability of serum to provide the branched chain amino acids (BCAA). The serum BCAA is full of other sources of protein. Within the muscle, BCAAs have the important task of assisting in the synthesis of other amino acids necessary for building and repairing muscle.

The final benefit of whey protein is itsimpact on the immune system builders. Weightlifting produces stress on the body and unless neutralized nutrition can weaken the immune system. This could cause a higher incidence of some health problems problems such as coughs and colds. The continued weakening of the immune system through intensive training can also lead to more serious problems. Whey, combined with a healthy balanced diet will help support your immune system during exercise. If you're looking fora powder of high quality protein to maximize your training regimen, you can read a complete review of Maximuscle Cyclone, one of the best protein powders available on the market.

Whey protein powder brands - are making the most of your own?

powdered whey protein is important for those who are serious about bodybuilding. Contributes to growth and muscle repair after a workout, and has many beneficial properties included. But what about brands? There are so many brands of protein powder, whey on the market, how do you know what works best for you?

Customer reviews will give you a good idea of what a product is like. If you have good reviews, at least give a vague idea of what to expectbut then you will always see the odd bad review too. This is not always a bad thing. It's a matter of personal preference. Some people swear that eating certain foods for certain things, while others will not agree completely. Nobody is the same.

A good way to tell a quality brand is to look at the ingredients. If you do a little research on them, maybe just to see what Google offers information about them, then you will have a clearer idea of what to expect. A classic exampleis the use of certain whey protein casein. The casein used alone can be a very useful and is much cheaper to produce than the serum, but that's why sometimes added to the ingredients of protein powder, whey. Serum is known for his quick release that bodybuilders need, but casein is a slow-release properties. With the addition of the whey ingredient that slows down the process and defeats its purpose. This would be a good brand.

New on the market andamong the big names like Maximuscle, EAS and Muscle is a brand called Sabre Nutrition. So far, the reviews look good for this brand. Not only the taste, but mixes well with milk or water, depending on your preferences and needs. Special attention is paid to the delivery system to optimize the relationship between nitrogen balance carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fats, all of which, if balanced, play an important role in muscle growth, size and strength. This matrix is known as a golden success in muscle development. And besides, have the casein ingredients.

So far there have occurred only in whey protein powder, but and weight, also winner of creatine. So if you are looking for a new type of protein used is of good quality and easy to use for your holiday then you can give this brand of fantasy a try.

And they have a catchy phrase to go with it, too. Nutrition Sabre: L of fuel "Within the Beast.

Why bodybuilders take protein supplements?

The next time you go to the gym, look around and you will more than likely see all the drinks that seem to tremble tremble. What is it and why bodybuilders who drink? These are more prone to protein drinks, but it could be anything from meal replacements to a mixture of carbohydrates and proteins that are known as weight gainers.

The role of protein in each session of fitness should not be ignored. Protein is an essential nutrient which means that the body needs through diet. L 'protein function is primarily to assist in the growth and repair of body tissues. Each time you run a vigorous training program, breaking the muscle fibers. This is why under the pain. 'L' E, nourishing "protein" that helps repair torn muscle fibers, and that's what helps you achieve a training effect that they are the targets of muscle strength and size.

There are two types of proteins that bodybuilders are most interested, whey and casein. They use them totheir advantage, knowing the functions of both. For example, whey protein is quickly absorbed by the body which means that it is useful after a workout when the body is depleted of nutrients. Casein, however, is much slower to release their nutrients. This means that casein is useful to maintain an anabolic (muscle building) state at night.

Bodybuilders are required to share your protein intake during the day, and eat at least 20 grams of protein every 2 to 3 hours. Thushelp increase metabolism and also help achieve a positive nitrogen balance, which is essential for any bodybuilder who want to gain muscle. Bodybuilders get protein from a variety of food sources. Good sources of protein include chicken, tuna, meat and eggs.

How are advised to eat 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, bodybuilders supplement their diet with protein supplements. This helps them achieve their goals, but also helps to maintain health. Alwaysa bodybuilder held a training session, cortisol, a stress hormone is released. To consume protein to help strengthen the immune system so they are not susceptible to the disease after training.

However, too much of anything can be bad. Taking too much protein will highlight the human body, creating a strain on the kidneys and liver. People who consume high amounts of protein are more susceptible to kidney disease in the future. For this reason, it is vital to maintainmoderate protein intake.

As noted above, the protein has a variety of functions in the body to do a bodybuilding anabolic, promoting muscle growth, decrease the likelihood of loss of muscle mass, and also to prevent the disease. Not only that, but also helps maintain muscle tone. E 'for these reasons that bodybuilders choose to take protein supplements.
